my nest is undergoing renovation. pre this overhaul i had set up an indoor aviary. in what most people call a lounge room. nobody uses such a thing these days. an indoor aviary is a much higher order use. bird figurines adorning the mantle piece, book shelves, cabinets. on the hi-fi speakers. the picture rail. all existing in harmony, enjoying the sanctuary of their environment. no threats here. well, sort of. the rest of my flock find this unnerving. they think it is ‘not in keeping’, and say “them birds are not coming back”. huh?
I don’t know how many species i have. about 50. not enough. from all corners of the planet. it’s special. i am working on a plan to get the indoor aviary re-established in the family nest. still working on the plan …
i just don’t think it is a good idea to lock my collection in a display cabinet behind glass doors. it’s not natural. it will make my pieces look like decorations. a good eco system will not develop inside a cabinet! some people have no idea
anyway the family nest rennos currently see my collection in storage. before i get the indoor aviary up and running again i will feature a species from time to time. check these out
